You didn't click on activate title in the Super Title panel at all? Super Titles are attempt based, and the star count doesn't always move.
They can't be sold or traded, but they can be destroyed by dropping them. Were you dropping things and maybe accidentally dropped those? If you dropped them, there's no way to get them back.
