Events are closed for 1 day. Joyopark merge had players unable to play for 2 months, followed by a limited time span to restore your account when some players thought the merge had failed completely. In addition to this some people who did restore their account still had their characters lost and had to start over anyway. So no, the Joyo merge is still a far more epic fail than forgetting to turn on the events. When they go an entire week with the events off, and don't realize it until next weeks maintenance even with everyone telling them then it will be in the running for R2's most epic fail.

I agree with you atleast someone has a kind heart to forgive GMs unlike others who are impatient.
