I decided to see if pet soul would transfer; however, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to make the numbers work(small errors are ok.)
Thus I can't come to a surefire conclusion.
Here's the numbers I got so far:
Primary pet:
6576 end.
1760 base 2637 blue 2179 pink. <- the break down of the total end
Sub pet:
8569 end
1394 base 5504 blue 1671 pink
(2998 end is from soul)
-----------------------------
Primary pet prediction:
9146 if soul works
8247 if soul does not work
------------------------------
Primary pet actual end:
end total: 10379
1760 base 3870 blue 4769 pink
I was wondering if anyone can help me out or if I'm doing the calculations wrong.
If it makes any different they were both gen 3 pets.

Think I have it but now 100% sure this is how merge works. However, here's what I gathered:
It does it in four steps.
1) It transfer the white stat of the main pet over(the 1760)
2) It calculates the blue stat which is the [(white stat of the sub pet + {blue stat of the second pet - soul aptitude) *.3] then adds it to the primary blue stat
3) It calculates the pink stat with taking [full end of the sub pet] * .3 and adds it to the pink stat of primary.
4) Adds everything above together for the final end of the new pet
Thus with what I got above:
1)Transfer over the 1760
2) [(1394 + {5504-2998**) * .3] + [2637] = [3900 * .3] + [2637] = 1170 + 2637 = 3807
3) [8569]*[.3] + [2179] = [2570.7] + [2149] = 4719.7
4) 1760 + 3807 + 4719.7 = 10286.7.
10286.7 compared to 10379.
Think the difference is because the primary pet has omnipotent level 1(which adds 3% I believe).
It's sound, but not sure if it's correct. Any help is appreciated =]
