Drops at new area decreased?

Seems like going into effect last night (2/14/2017) was a major loot drop decrease in the 150+ area elites. Everything seems to be affected, be it coins (both) or just regular mats that drop normally from the elite. If anyone has any news or info on this, please rely, even if its just from it being 2x dungeon week (why start last night?)
