If my calculation is not wrong, you can get 40 skill point at level 80 and it's possible to go both offensive and healing.
The build for Nature Ranger is obviously pure intelligence.
Here is my revised skill build:
Level 1-10:
Max Magic Arrow
Level 10 - 20:
Max Precision
Level 22:
1/5 Ankle Shot
Level 24:
1/5 Elven Swiftness
Level 26:
1/5 Oak's Blessing
Level 28:
1/5 Quick Heal
Level 30 - 38:
5/5 Improved Magic Arrow
Level 40:
1/5 Tidal Arrow
Level 42:
1/5 Scarlet Fever
Level 44:
1/5 Wither Trap
Level 46 - 48:
Put the skill anywhere you like

5/5 elven swiftness

1/5 improved scarlet fever

5/5 anaconda trap
1/5 magic arrow

1/5 improved magic arrow
(without skill reset: 5/5 improved magic arrow)
5/5 master magic arrow
5/5 elven swiftness
1/5 oak's blessing
5/5 quick heal
(without skill reset: 1/5 quick heal)
1/5 tidal arrow
1/5 barkskin
5/5 improved oak's blessing
Total 40 Skill Points used.
This build allows you to deal high damage while having decent healing capabilities.
I think it's quite good. My ranger is currently level 46 and I can tank better than most of the knights or tanker with this build in Nightmare Vault (with the help of a healer) and able to kill efficiently.
My AFK setting is rather simple, I just put both my healing skills in there along with all my attacking skills.
Please comment and tell me what you think about it, thank you

Seems like this build would be more useful for soloing dungeons since you wouldn't be moving around so much. I think Ankle and Tidal wave are more for skilled PvP where you'd be kiting enemies. Depends what you want to be specc'd as. Nice build

Personally, I doubt putting skill points to ankle shot or tidal arrow would benefit much.
True, they might be a tiny bit of damage increase but don't forget ankle shot and tidal arrow both have a cooldown while Anaconda Trap deal damage over time for 16 seconds and they have a cooldown of 15 seconds, which means we can use Anaconda Trap again before its effect disappear.
Don't forget that Tidal Shot pushes the enemy away while ankle shot slows down the enemy, which means less damage from Anaconda Trap as well.
With this, I rest my case.
Give me a good reason why should I add my skill points to ankle shot and tidal arrow instead of Anaconda Trap.
I'm always open to suggestion.Last edited by SilvaLau; 06-04-2012, 01:32 PM.
