What does it mean when you're promoted to an Official?

When you join a guild there are ranks which you gain according to your contribution towards the guild. There are also 2 extra ranks which are given by the Guild Leader to specific persons of his/her choice.
These 2 ranks are Deputy Leader and Official. These ranks give you some extra "actions" through the guild menu and of course it shows that somehow your guild leader trusts you enough to promote you on one of these 2 ranks.And out of the chaos, a voice spoke:
"Smile and be happy, for it can always be worse".
And I smiled, and I was happy, and it did get worse. -
