Is there a periodic appearance of hot events?

Hello, I wanted to ask if the hot events appearance follows a periodic pattern. Take for instance the "Experience is key" hot event. If it is on today, lasting for 4 days, can I know when will it appear again, after it is over?

hm.... Why dont they do it on a programmed schedule, so strategy will play a more important role in the game? Its just a suggestion, but I think most of the players would agree with it.
