Merchant's Token

Hi, where can we get Merchant's Token? I've searched the forums but can't see something regarding this

It was only available on few events months ago.

It's been months since I saw them available. What was the point of introducing them?
Worse we can't buy them with gold coins, or vouchers, or even diamonds.

I would like to see a way to purchase using all 3 methods (respectively) gold shop, and voucher shop, and in Shop under the Items tab
