Upgrade items from lvl 40 to 60 or higher?

Hi. Can you upgrade somehow your items lvl 40 with some items you won in tycoon or you must enchant that new items from tycoon like they are new? You will lose all refine / enhance / enchant that you have on that lvl 40 items?
