Why pay 6.19$ instead of 4.99$ on paypal?

Hello,
So I wanted to buy 500 diamonds with 4.99$ via paypal. The price that I had to pay to paypal was 6.19$ instead of 4.99$. I ended up not buying it.
Do you know why this happens? Is there any other method to pay the price shown.....?

Most of regions has VAT (value added tax) policies, so you got to pay some more. About methods which dont have- dont know, probably need to wait and see what mod answers

You can look what takes additional payment in paypal payment window, if you are in VAT region, then most likely you cant buy diamonds without additional cost.

Im not in VAT region and this is my paypal payment.
