Archers -- MATK->MDEF

I'm just wondering, is there a god thing if u upg hero's MATK in Academy, if the hero is archer. Does the magic have any efect on preformance or not?

MATK and Intelect are two diferense stats. MATK = MATK and Intelect = 4 MATK and 1 MDEF ,so leveling for archer in academy is useless, but rising intelect in GUILD there are some advantage
