Using third party or automated programs is against the terms of service. Please do not cheat or advice others to do so. Using such programs can get you into a lot of trouble.

Using third party programs is against the rules. No mod would claim otherwise.

Define a 3rd Party Application

What is a 3rd party application, really? Technically, your Browser is a 3rd party application that allows you to access the game (the mini-browser isn't because it's released by the game designer). The Logitech Adv Gamer Keyboard (like the G-15) with Macros you're utilizing is most definitely a 3rd party app. An auto-clicker is a 3rd party app as is a logic-driven auto-clicker that distinguishes images and reacts (those are farming bots).

Looking at the ToS and the verbiage:

You are not permitted under any circumstances or for any reason to cheat or utilize third-party applications or code in order to win at, or gain game points or items from any of our Games. Punishment of violators will be determined on a case-by-case basis. R2Games shall be entitled to file a claim for monetary compensation from anyone deemed to have violated these rules in any way.

They specifically make those terms as broad and potentially vague as possible, so they can use their discretion to police them or not.

We need to address what is or is not a 3rd party App.

Here's where things get blurry. Some say auto-clicker apps are illegal. I can understand the feeling. However, is using a Mouse illegal? Are you all aware that Windows 7.x and 8.x are capable, with a simple setting, of turning the left-mouse hold into a repeating action (an auto-click). So is Windows illegal? Do we all need to start using Linux and MacOS because it doesn't have that "cheating" auto-click capability?

Most will acknowledge that bots are cheating - at least in the spirit of the game. Yet, the game gives us built in bots known as "blitzing." It's considered perfectly fine to afk at the Guild Tree of Ancients and during World Boss (in many cases in conjunction with an auto-clicker so you don't have to be there to engage the WB or Treasure Thieves at Tree Time). These events can gain people millions of xp, gold and daru per day - and no one cares. However, if someone is even suspected of afk-running the Atoll to get between 6 and 10 sepulcrum a night from recycling seals, the server goes ape-poop. 10+ Mil Gold & 5+ Mil XP - fine. 6 Sep - Insanity.

Here's the reality. R2Games, Proficient City and all the way up the chain to 7Road DO NOT CARE about Auto-Clickers and Bots. They care about people that decrypt the SWFs to extract the HMAC Key and pirate the data flow. They care about people using MAC Address Cloning, Fake CCs and Fake Identities to exploit gaps in the Free Balen offers. They care about people who are, in effect, giving themselves tens of thousands of $ worth of Balens through fraud and hacking.

They really couldn't give a poop about someone using a bot to farm Sylph Atoll. They couldn't care because they don't want to have to pay their devs for hours of work to try and prove it only to have the person in question say something like, "I was at the PC the whole time - I just don't talk to people." And when you really get down to it - most of the people using auto-clickers and bots are those funding the system - so why on earth would they start banning them?!

My advice on the matter? Play your game. Stop trying to play the game for others. Sure, if you see something crazy like people with Snow Yaks (when it should have been impossible) and L80 Adv Soul Engraving - speak up. But someone running Atoll all night? No one cares except those wish they were doing it themselves or don't have the ability or nerve to do it.
