How do I create a Party to take part in the Defend The Sylph Atoll Battles ?

Even if you invite them they can refuse the invite or be afk when u sent it. I'Ve had to leave right when i.get invited to do something like AB or maps and such.IGN: Muramasa

It says invite successful and then nothing happens - they dont appear down left hand side like they are supposed to.Comment

The "Invite Successful" message just means your invite was successfully sent. The player sometimes depending on where they are in the game may not see the message. They have to accept the invite before joining the party.Comment

If you want to be sure that they want to join you, send them PM first. Or ask in world/guild chat that you are looking for the party. People can write you that you can invite them.
Btw, you can also create party with someone(e.g. alt) of lower level than 50.. they can't get any rewards or join you in fight, but you are able to attack boss. So that you are in party and you are still solo. :P XDComment
