have just completed chapter 1 and collected chest. Game will not leave chest collection page back to event, even after refresh................I can of course progress to buying extra chests with Balens...............

Did you tried to click on the little red "X" at the top right? I know it sound silly but if you just didn't though about that, it will save us both a lot of time :3
If it's not working though, don't hesitate to tell me and we will try to find a solution for that.

just realised it says you can only have one attempt per day in the top left hand corner of screen. If that is the case why does the side bar under the devotion details suggest you start with 15/15 attempts?

Your "one daily attempt" lasts until you die.

You have up to 15 turns a day, up to the full 15 stages.

You can also use balens to Revive if killed, for up to 10 more "attempts" per day.
