What time of day did this happen? Reason I ask is for me in the evening time, everything becomes much slower. Earlier in the day, the game runs normal, well wartune normal. It's like the server is getting overloaded with too many players and bogging it down.

The clock in the image is of PST, same as the server I play on. This is probably one of the worst times it happened as I, too, often get the slow connectivity in the evening hours from them (mostly after the Eud Domain hour).
