Dancing event icons

MemoryLane I find it farfetched as I know they have to have a central server that they could have load it and tested it. I have been in the backend of companies to know they do this. No wonder why things never worked correctly in the likes of them.

Meikura001 That is the excuse the devs are providing R2 about the situation. I'm not going to pretend to understand how the devs work. I'm not arguing any of the points made. I'm simply sharing what we were told about the dancing icons and the accompanying lag spike.

Not responding doesn't mean we were told not to respond. It's usually because we've responded before, and there's nothing else to say about it. There really isn't a need to post about the icons dancing, it's a thing that happens now. The icons dance when the devs are loading events into the backend, supposedly. The process usually only lasts 15 minutes, with the exceptions of the times it takes longer, like last week where it seemed to go on for 3 hours. We've been told this can only happen while the servers are online, which is why it doesn't happen during maintenance.

If you would take a moment to read what you have quoted, you would see I mentioned that day it seemed to take 3 hours. Even that was 15 minutes each time, it was just done repeatedly over the course of several hours.

MemoryLane , in another post about dancing icons you said it would be only once a week, thats also sadly not true. Monday about 10min, thuesday about 10min, yest about 20min, today cant say yet i log on with dancing icons and lasted 5min already...

It had been once a week for so long. We were told it was a once a week thing, that they were only doing it before maintenance. We were told was that it had something to do with events. Obviously, that's changed at the moment, but we won't be told exactly what's going on outside of 'loading events onto the backend'. I've shared everything I've been told about this issue, as I have done since the dancing icon thing became a regular occurrence.

I log around 8:30 europe server time, we had dancing icons then... afterwards again in 9:30 and now again in 10:00 server times... wth is going on?

Well maybe we need a bug report like: Bug no maintenance on 18-09-27, no compensation either. Icons spinning but no rewards after they stopped spinning like mad.
I usually thought the spinning icons are like a lottery or something. If they stop the server goes down and we get rewards in Hot Events XD

Maintenance will be Sunday/Monday, depending on your time zone. There's a holiday in China this week.

So as you said the dancing icon event has nothing to do with the maintenance itself. maybe indirect who knows, not even sure if the devs know.
Well hope they don't break the rotation from Sunday to Monday on events, shops and so on.
We will see an complain... thats regular too haha

This past week has been very abnormal, but it could be related to the new cross-server server. That's just a guess. We don't know, the devs aren't the best at filling us in.

Maintenance will be at the same time of day as usual, so no server will be down through a reset, so weekly and daily resets won't be impacted. This isn't the first time a Monday maintenance has been done due to a holiday.

That is a big part of the problem with this game, no communication. And wouldn't surprise me if the stuff they do tell you, they are just blowing smoke

Nice answer but soo totally silly is laughable HAHAHA uploading events should not making this dancing happen if the devs removed redundant data from servers, this is just a sign that they have trouble adding more
