According to rules the odd guild is kicked, no npc fight. They get a "last strike" type of reward, ie 1.7mil gold or so.

No the cs gb rules thread states that the guild will get a special suprise. This is the suprise, they will fight against the npc.

what does it mean? no points for 4 rounds? they ought to get points, an automatic 1 win (if they need to win the wb)
then another guild which lose round 1 can take the bye spot for round 2.
