Sylph's off SGT

Got a couple sylph's off the SGT, like the one in the img below. Just wondering,
why it's required, and what the purpose of using adv materials is, when it's only
purple?
Making one from ground up, we wouldn't be able to use adv materials, until after
reaching gold.
So not sure whether or not to sacrifice one of them, or my weakest gold, to be
able to participate, in the regular Mahra&Sep Events.

It's a massive waste to invest in one of those purple 2nd evo sylphs. Thousands of extra adv. sepulcrum just to catch up to one you leveled up yourself, and the adv. mahra needed is completely ridiculous.

Sacrificing one will give you some extra adv. seps, though, so at least that thing isn't totally worthless.
