Can I merge a 1 star Zeus + a 1 star Ares into a 1 star Thor?

or gold (without stars) hercules + gold (without stars) cerberus = gold (without stars) tyre

You also need the sylphs to be maxed out with sepul or advanced sepul. And the 60,000 balens / bound balen cost, of course.

Damn, lost ~2k adv. mahra and sep on my Zeus. Should not even had upgrade it, should have saved all adv. mahra and sep for Tyre when I get it.

So what is the point to spend adv. mahra and sep in 2 sylph to get a merged red sylph? If you get Tyre with 1 Herc and 1 Cerberus and upgrade it up to red you save much more adv. mahra and sep.
We need ~23k adv mahra to get a red sylph, if you try to get a merged with two 2nd evolved red sylph you will spend the double of the itens.

Yes it saves you around 20K adv mahra and 20K adv sepul to upgrade Tyre to Thor, instead of making red Zeus and red Aries and fusing them. It only costs 5000 moon dust, 5000 moon rock, and 750 - 1000 emblems to upgrade a Tyre to Thor, which can all be obtained for free, from sylph event exchanges.

Nah, it was planned. They wanted to tempt people into getting a second-evolved sylph like Zeus or Hecate, so that they feel strongly pressured to cash to make Aries or Venus red as well. They wanted to trap people, and it worked.

It still costs 60,000 to merge Hercules and Cerberus into Tyre (or spending 50,000 to get Tyre from hot events, unless you get lucky on the tree). If you're spending 60,000, you're probably already not that concerned with the amount of Adv Mahra or Adv Sepulcrum.

Free players can gather 60k bbalens, no need to spend real balens on a merge.

The advantage to spending 60K real balens on a merge during that event, is a free merged sylph seal so two merged sylphs. You could of course use 60K BB and simply spend 50K real balens on other stuff, though.
