The Alpha sign up

I am sorry if there is already a thread explaining what I am about to ask if so please can you link me?
How will it work will everybody who signed up for the Alpha test allowed to play or will there be people chosen at random ? I am wondering about this because I signed up for the Beta and never got anything.

You want to play the alpha go to ************. That is where the server is and anyone can play there.
