Opinions on my current troops and future?

I have been banking daru for an month in anticipation of new troops. I have around 45 million saved up. I have no idea if the new troops will be in the 2nd or 3rd patch and when.

I stopped leveling my troops at level 52 and I'm losing sporadic duels due to my troops. My current level is 58.

So, would you just suck it up in anticipation of the new or maybe level my current up a little to be more competitive with stronger players?
