How good is charisma?

How does charisma exactly affect me and my troops?
Is it worth the gold to max the guild skill?
How about pots and scrolls?

yes it is more charm = more troops more troops = live longer live longer = better arena position and cata advance

It's a secondary thing really, if you can afford to spare the gold, go for it. It's not something that needs to be upped right away.
