  • Knight skill Intercept

Id like to know, how this skill works, especially the timing.

I want to use an example, But befor i want to clarify what i mean, with the words cast and trigger.
Cast means, when the player hit the skill button. He needs to have the right amount of rage at this moment and the skill have no cooldonw actually.
Trigger mean, when the skill is going into effect. Some skills (like delpic xxx) need a longer time before it triggers then other skills.

Lets say we have a pvp fight situation:
Knight lvl35 vs Mage lvl35, both have arena set (+30 start rage) and no clothes on.

    the battle starts:
the mage follow his standard routine and casts the brutality rune and the knight cast intercept. both have 30 rage at this moment. (Do the mage get +2 rage coz of the rune? But it doenst matter here)
then the brutality rune triggers (very quick), the still have 30 rage and cast Rain iof Fire (RoF) immediatly.
now the intercept skill triggers and the knight steal all rage of the mage (or at least 30). so the mage is down to 0 (or 2) rage at this point. after that the knight cast another spell (doenst matter here).
niow the mage skill Rof wants to trigger, but at this point the mage have less rage then he needs for.

will the spell trigger (coz he had enough rage as he starts casting the skill) or will the skill be interupted?

RoF wont trigger because there is no rage for it. No mage should ever be insta targeted by an intercept though

i realy hope, that is true
why not insta target mages? pvp sets (35/45) are so common actually and the mage realy rely on rage to cast his aoe spells.
many player say, intercept is useless. hmmmmm

No mage in his right mind would be in a party where he is anchoring the team in the front row to be hit by Intercept. That is why no mage should be insta-targeted by intercept.

Mage passive skill reads: +2 rage every time you deal damage to an enemy. As the brutality rune does not deal instant damage - the mage won't gain rage. If the mage were using a PvE set - they would gain rage. PvE sets rule because of this.

If the mage gets the RoF off before the intercept - the mage is will be at 0 rage. And is free to LB the knight to re-earn rage.

If the mage does not get the RoF off before the intercept the mage will be at 0 rage. However there will be a preselected RoF waiting to go - which fails and is replaced by an auto attack. The following round the mage is free to do as they please.
