How to set formation like this

I've done it before while having the storyline warrior with me I placed myself in the back with her after she joined and it pushed me to the bottom rather than middle. then I changed myself to the front right before that whole r2games being down thing came back and mine was like that for a little bit. Not sure if that's how they all do it.

Might be a glitch or might be a hack.

I've seen this quite a lot recently while dueling.

The annoying thing about it is when it just so happens that your target is a player with high defense and you wanna get rid of his troops but you can't because you're locked on to him until he dies.
Simultaneously, the opponent has already taken out your troops. Makes the duel slightly imbalanced.

Can you attack the gryphon but not the archer?

no idea , maybe some bug ... i often see others like that too
