Should I make lvl 40 Legend Equip or work on lvl. 45 Arena Gears?

i got the 40 set and am now lvl 53 and just starting to get my 50 set have the rings and jewels but not legend yet but has helped my br but still using the lvl 40 set and only the sockets that were open when i got them... lvl 53 mage with 36k br atm and just slowly working my way through the 50's missing what exp i can.. i could run void nm alone just before i hit 50 and being a mage the 40, 50, 60 and 70 sets make so much diff with the rage gains
