They are just trying to get to the end game, literally. If you notice, there are no real events for any new players only for people who have been here for a long time. Look at the starting point for collecting from these events-level 5 clothing, level 6 gems etc....Add to this the amount of the big casher events and the quick patch additions-this makes me think they are just trying to bring the end of the game as quick as possible. Its either that or they REALLY ARE stupid morons
