LOL Of course it was.. There's very little in the game that ISN'T geared toward getting you to crack open your wallet and whip out your plastic.

On the other hand, if you played using a bit of logic and luck was on your side, you still could manage to walk away with some really nice loot - even without going near your wallet once.
