I got to the 3rd map in sylph expedition, but it was a huge disappointment

This is indeed a sad fact. Any logical game programmer would actually incentivise people to try and spend more to move up higher. To do this the logical game programmer/designer would make better rewards. However, as we have all seen in the past R2/7Roads/Proficient city or whoever designs has no concept of logic.
