Recently there was a post in the events (at least on R2 platform), that you would only be able to obtain the 500 balens pack for first recharge during event, no matter how much you recharged. It did not explain what recharge event that it would be for. Does anyone know? Not gonna bother recharging anymore, since R2 doesn't want to explain what they're doing.

It's those 500 balen recharge chests that appear on top icons i believe.
After you pay for that then the 1000 balen pack opens up, so recharging 2000 in 1 go will not give you both i think that's what they meant. -
