What are dmg values and what is the reduce definition please

Dmg value: the amount of dmg...
reduction: what it says..

ex: aegis major lvl 2, decrease dmg taken by 80(?)

some1 do 1200 dmg to you, you have lvl 2 aegis major, now you take 1200-80=1120!

naw it's not useless.

You just don't know what it's used for.

Aegis major is usefull for maybe first 30-40 lvls(?) and is useful at cata 1-100 (specially against boss eye aoes and mini eye mobs)
Later on it gets outdated, and replaced with goddess blessing.. essentially it is a later AM astral.

Its a PvE astral just like Charm. It has its uses but its not an astral to have on all the time like force or something

(*,..,*) TY all very helpfull and i did think it was pretty useless, like -80 and recieving 3k dmg but as for PvE good idea

Im got lvl 4 Aegis Major, and its veru usefull with PvE fights. Its helpfull with AoE attacks comed from archers and knights. Archers, when they use AoE, deal DMG divided by 4 attacks. lvl 4 Aegis Major decrases single attack amount by 160, so 160*4 = 640 damage decrased ^^
