Many players ask me how I became a mod, what I like about it, and why I still do it.

I discovered Crystal Saga in September 2011 and immediately fell in love with it. I tend to read everything posted in the forum for any game I play, because that is where you find out all those tips and tricks and any supporting or opposing arguments on character builds and whatnot. What I found was a ton of very useful guides. Any question I would have asked was in those guides. I also found a ton of unanswered questions.

So, when I had spare time, as I learned the game, I dove in and did my best to answer all the unanswered questions, whether it be with what I just learned by playing the game, or a link to a guide someone already posted.

I was asked if I was interested in becoming a mod in April 2012. At first, I was going to decline, since I was just enjoying playing the game and in previous games, I didn’t post in the forums much, if at all. Being a forum dweller just didn’t seem like it would be my cup of tea. But, then I thought about the shiny blue name. Anyone who knows me knows the one thing I like most about being a mod is the shiny blue name. I’ve been lobbying for the color to be changed to my favorite color, purple, for 2 years, but so far I haven’t had any luck. The boys just aren’t with me on that.

What I like about being a moderator isn’t so much that I like being a moderator. I like to be helpful, and I like that when you don’t know what to do next, you have someone who will be there to talk you through it. I am just a moderator, so I can’t always solve the problem for you, but I can be that person who will do what she can so you have an easier time getting everything sorted out, when possible.

I had my 2-year anniversary in April. So, why am I still here? That’s simple- I really like the shiny name.
