This is usually caused by a flash player conflict because Chrome has a built-in flash player and it will use the Adobe Flash player if that's installed.
I've found I don't have much issues with flash in Chrome if I disable Chrome's built-in flash player.
To do this, type: chrome
lugins in the address bar to open the Plug-ins page.
On the Plug-ins page that appears, find the "Flash" listing.
Look for the one that's in chrome's data files (it is usually the first one on the list), and click Disable.
