I have a question about dragon orb.

How effective is Apocalypse ? (damage wave which I guess it increases max damage % but lowers min damage % so the damage variances get huge.)

At a high level ord, I'd imagine the high end of the wave could be quite effective on a Critical Hit based build.
Usually this would be an Archer class build, but I've seen the Mage work well with this build too.

    If your base wave was:

    Min. Damage: 50,000
    Max. Damage: 100,000

Then add the Apocalypse (Level 1) which has a reach of 4%:

    Min. Damage: 48,000
    Max. Damage: 104,000

Now those numbers might not seen like much, but at a higher level Orb where you'd gain 15% extra damage on the high end of the wave, with the Critical hit chance also being high, that sounds appealing.

But, without know the actual damage modifiers used on this system, it's hard to accurately determine the correct outputs. I guess it's all a case of trying your luck.
You could put it this way. The average damage is increased. Using the same example,
    Min. Damage: 50,000
    Max. Damage: 100,000
    Average Damage: 75,000

Then add the Apocalypse (Level 1) which has a reach of 4%:

    Min. Damage: 48,000
    Max. Damage: 104,000
    Average Damage: 76,000
