Not necessarily. You can have multiple "servers" on the same platform. Got to love virtualization technology and software. If the server has multiple hard drives, they can run a separate server from each drive while using the same platform. I've seen this done as an effective cost savings measure before. The statement I put was more for the sake of making a point.

R2 can afford to have multiple servers. How the servers are set up is their issue, but the infrastructure costs can be pretty steep to set up.

And where does it say that they are required to compensate us? I've played MMOs and browser games for years and have seen all kinds of problems manifest on them. You should also keep in mind that this game is still in the beta stage, which means that the problems are going to be worse than on other games as the issues which snuck past the filters crop up.

As for the quality of the servers... do you even know how much a server costs? Can you afford a dedicated server to provide service across the entire country? Can you afford the bandwidth? Can you afford the losses in money when a server goes down for any reason?

learn to read between the lines.. I'm pretty much saying they dont have to but do and it normally doesnt even scratch the surface of what people would get out of WB or Team Arenas, etc..

As for the stupidity of your last part, no, i dont run a business so i dont have to worry about it so you fail to prove anything. Bandwidth is more on what's inside the computer not cost to power it so you fail again.. I wouldnt lose money why.. I'm not stupid enough to host a game or anything and if i did, well free energy device isnt hard to make. Just about anyone can do it too..

Thanks for update Orlene. I think the biggest thing everyone needs to relax. Things like this happen with Servers and multiple servers. Is it smart to drop 2 new servers 4 hours prior to major events, well apparently they thought so and did not figure this would happen. I'm sure they are trying to fix the issue. Let's see how it all unfolds
