As a beginner, what level do you experienced guys think should you start to level up slowly that would be effective? e.g. Lvl 20? 30? 50?

This guide is kinda nice but it depend for evrybody
A friend of mine have start 3week later the game, now he have only 40k br, but he's lvl 68, i told him to rush 80 to be able to do most part of the free stuf to increase quickly what he'll got with the whip/sc event
(i'm helping him for 70 and 80 legendary set so i think in 2-3month he'll be able to claim the 80legendary set)
But he have sylph, sky trial, and will start soon to have legendary stone and loid for is final stuff, witout have to refine anystuff or socket anything (told him to keep evrything only for the legendary 80)

OK so I had a play with the R2 Wartune skill calculator... (It's been a while since I was 48/49)

In short, at that level you need to prioritise your skills for later levels. Puri and Blessed light and puri will probably be required for you to get through the 60 NM dungeon when you first go for it.

This is what I arrived at. Obviously this is my opinion and you're free to ignore it or use as you see fit.

Heal tree - everything except WB & 4v4 (unless you're the sole mage)


I'm not sure how much the PvP scene has changed at lower levels. but I find in PvP for myself, I am using my heal tree much more often than my damage tree. Likewise, my heal tree is also my PvE tree mostly, when facing new dungeons or a tough challenge.

on my damage tree: instead of the suntoria, I go for thunderer.

for now lv 60-65 min br is about 100k-150k
..
my friend just left his mage char in more than 2 month when last time his br is about 75k br
less than a month just join some event without any preparation, now he's already 95k br on lv 63 lol...

Crit build is good for pvp?

In my opinion at level 50: it is very difficult to go crit effectively. There are several reasons for this:
1) you don't have access to the Imperial Commander medallion. (for the Crit and block bonus it provides)
2) you have to drop out a lot of your defence astrals to make way for Crit and determination.

If you are determined to go crit at 50: I would suggest the following:
MATK, Crit, Determination, Goddess Blessing & Chose one (Block, PDEF or MDEF)

I would personally advise waiting till lvl 60. At 60, you have access to the medallion and an extra 2 astral slots.
