  • [Wartune Guide] Mounts

This guide is brought to you with lots of assistance from CreamySaucepan. She’s still a dirty cheating haxxor. But I still lurves her. I still can’t help myself. I’m a glutton for punishment.

The link to this guide so you can share it with your friends: forum.r2games.com/showthread.php?91511-Wartune-Guide-Mounts

So starting with the basics: Mounts are unlocked as part of the in game achievements for reaching level 40, you get a little saddle icon appear on the icon bar at the bottom right of your screen like this one:

Before we start going into the details of training and the various options here, I want to discuss what benefits mounts give

    What Do Mounts Actually Do:
Mounts form a boost to your BR & increase your movement speed in the game.

More mounts and more training = a bigger boost to your BR, the stats of the mounts all stack up collectively. However, you can not have more than one of the same mount. So there’s no point to buying 2 of the Royal steed when you hit honour rank Crusader for example.

Mounts increase your physical movement speed on the screen where ever you can see yourself mounted, so: Battlegrounds, guild battles, in the wilds, in the guild chamber, in the altar of Enoblement, in the guild altar, Gold Rush, Cloud City & The Sylph Atoll.

When you change mounts, you only change the basic skin of the mount, there is no extra bonuses for riding one mount over another. You can select which mount you want to ride, by clicking on the stables button, selecting your mount and confirming your selection by pressing the ‘mount’ button.

    Training Your Mount:
Training improves the stats of your mount and thus increases your overall stats. This is a slow process though, and it uses Mount Training Whips. Each successive level of training requires more whips than the previous level. So you quickly realise that the boost gain slows down very quickly. There are two buttons to choose from when training:

Train: Each instance of training uses one mount training whip (or 35 balens, whips are consumed first and it asks if you want to spend balens when you run out). This increases the attribute you have chosen by 10, it also increases the stable level exp bar by 10.

Advanced Train: When you use the advanced train, it uses 20 whips in one go (assuming you have enough, or pay with balens). This increases the attribute you have chosen by 200 and it also increases the stable level exp bar by 200.

There is a chance that any single whip will actually be a Therions Blessing, this increases the XP received to 50. When you use the advanced train button, it tells you if any of your whips were Therion blessed.

Each completed level of training in the mount screen gives the following boost to your stats:
    1 level of Strength: 20PATK & 5PDEF
    1 level of Intellect: 20MATK & 5MDEF
    1 level of Stamina: 100HP
    1 level of Armour: 20PDEF & 20MDEF

Whips can be obtained from several places. The easiest and most regular is the daily 100 devotion reward, 2 whips are all yours. Another easy source is guild battles, as all the participants on the winning side of a guild battle get whips. They also drop quite regularly from the guild blessing wheel and the VIP wheel. Sometimes whips form part of rewards for event quests, consumption events & other events throughout the year. Another source is the guild reward chests. These are given to the guild masters weekly for the guild performance

So all that's left is to list the mounts, their stat boost, show their picture and how to get them:

        Mount Index:

A complete Index of all wartune mounts is available here.

I have done this as two separate threads, to save on loading and scrolling time, with the number of pictures this thread was starting to amount to and may potentially accumulate in the future, I feel it's easier done this way. As well as easier for you guys to read through.

Very informative it is too. Just it's way out of date.

Mount hoofs is used for refining, it adds +10 to stats for each star (from 1 to 5 stars) but doesn't change appearance.

uh. you get the saddle icon and your very first mount a long time before Level 40. Just wanted to point that out. This was changed from the Lvl 40 requirement at some point. :3

Mount cards are either awarded or purchased in the various stores.

Haven't seen any Mount hoofs of late. Seems they switched over to Training Mount Whip crystals in a later update and newer version of the game. :/

When the released the 3.1 update the mounts are unlocked at level 16 or 18. I cannot remember now when I was looking at the new beginning of the game.
