According to rules the odd guild is kicked, no npc fight. They get a "last strike" type of reward, ie 1.7mil gold or so.

No the cs gb rules thread states that the guild will get a special suprise. This is the suprise, they will fight against the npc.

There was odd number of guilds registring for cs gb so the one unpaired guild (guild with lowest br) will fight npc instead.
