Sacred Pisces/Gemni only for penetration

Wondering thoughts about level 80 astrals.

I was figuring on running illusion/regeneration once I hit 80 in a couple days.
I did however notice somebody (mage) using the Sacred Gemini (Patk+Pene) mostly for the added penetration.

Since it's still vague exactly how penetration (and block and crit) are affecting shots: any thoughts on this one?

Doubt it, only 2 slots and they have crit + penetration as well.


@topic too much fake BR for an unknown purpose, rather like my deflect/illusion/regen/guardian astrals instead.

The stronger you get the less significant 2k pdef/mdef is. Been running without them for a while now and PvP is actually a lot better in most cases.

yeah thats what i was going for, almost finished my 70 set
at +15 its already as strong as my 50s set
so i should gain a good amount of br from it

+ this gem event on the 28th, i will have all level 8 gems

It is, but some mages run Gemni also for extra penetration.

a few archers on my server have both

Why would an archer or knight use an astro that is MATK + Pen?? the Pen in this case is for MATK not PATK...Just... face... desks.
