Underground palace how to get mount shards?

Even if you do make it to the next level, your progress is reset at tree reset. So you go back to level one, regardless of the level you started with.

Nah, to enter next level there's an icon (like for treasure/etc) http://puu.sh/cpXaq/9804b2b5de.jpg

But to enter next lvl you have to clear the "normal" events, can have at most 3 left, so it isn't something you can do without balens.

When you land on a square that gives you "there's something strange around here" message you use the magnifying glass in the middle of the bottom bar, costs 3 steps but you get 1 item, which can either be mount shards, or vulcan stoves and such.
