Ring Effect

Someone explain the ring effect to me. I know it reduces the rage consumption by 50% but when I see it activate, it says it lasts for 3 turns but then the next turn, it goes away. Am I missing something?

You have 3 turns to use the buff. It goes away once you use a move that uses rage. For example: archer sees buff pop up, he uses AS for 2 rounds and DS on third; buff will stay until DS. Archer sees buff pop up, he uses DS on first round; buff goes away.
