  • Trade inventory items with other players

I would like to see window that allows us to see the inventory of other players (Vault & regular), and then allows players to trade or bid on items in other players inventory listing.

We were supposed to get an auction house, but Wartune USA decided not to allow it due to high potential for abuse (aka, they don't want some players to get an unfair advantage for free). It sucks that we can't sell/trade items we have in excess to players that need them. I am certain that most players are honest and would not abuse auction house if we got it. However, all it takes is a few dishonest people to ruin it for everyone else. Botting and using alts to farm resources isn't very profitable in a game where you can't trade your goods and where most items are worth so little gold its a bad joke. Add in an auction house and watch bots and alts that exist just to farm resources skyrocket.

I think it would be possible for them to implement an auction house and mitigate the unfair advantage people could gain from botting and creating alts to farm. They'd need to impose limitations on how much you can buy/sell in a day and how much you can earn from those sales and make all transactions public and viewable. That would allow legitimate players to sell their excess or buy stuff they need, a little at a time, each day. It would also limit how much someone could cheat by exploiting the auction house, since no matter how much they farm, they can never benefit their main character by more than X amount of gold and X amount of items in a day. (This idea is similar to the fact you can sacrifice only 10 sylphs in a day. By limiting how many you can sacrifice each day, they limit the unfair advantage someone can gain from botting the atoll.) It wouldn't stop people from cheating. It would just limit the unfair gains they would get (They can use alts to sell themselves legendary stones dirt cheap, but they can buy only 10 a day, just like anyone else. They can sell stuff to their alts for inflated prices, but they can't get more than 200k a day from auction house sales.). Having a public and viewable log of all transactions would make it possible to spot suspicious patterns and report it.

Another possibility would be giving players a free merchant license each day. That license would allow you to trade with one other player that day (once you complete a trade with someone, your license is consumed and you can't do it again until tomorrow). To limit abuse, the game would have an established fair exchange that is automatically enforced. The fair exchange would be set up to ensure everyone pays a fair price for the items they receive (no paying 1 gold for 1000 legendary stones, no trading 1 lvl 2 luck stone for 99 lvl 9 luck stones, etc). This still would not prevent cheating, but it would limit how much someone could gain from cheating since they'd have to give enough gold or items to be "worth" what they are receiving and since they could do it only once a day.
