what does this status do(block)
does this blocks normal attack? skills? physical attack? magic attack? or all of the above?

The Block stat gives you a chance to reduce any damage taken except for static damage such as that from Reflect Damage or the Bleed effects. Obviously the higher the stat the better the chance to block. I'm not 100% sure what the percentage is for block though.
