Hi, so my question is does your active sylph's defense(might or might not have elemental resistance) ( +must in passive mode "NOT AWAKENED")

no. except HP, sylph stats are added after awaken.

Yes, sylph mdef and pdef are added to your regular mdef/pdef on awakening. The sylph's higher attack value (patk for pan, amazon, and hades, matk for iris, eve, and apollo) is also added to your main attack stat (matk for mages, patk for others). The type of attack you do as sylph is based on the sylph type, so patk/matk goes by the sylph after you awaken.
Elements are a separate factor that work in addition to the attack and defense stats.Comment
