reduce damage by value 20

Hi,
i am new and i not sure, how does the astral with reduce damage works.
for example:
reduce damage value by 20.
how much does this value 20 worth? if im taking 2000 damge.
pls advice whether is it good enough to keep this type of astral.

What this astral does is knock 20 points off of every hit you take except from static effects like Reflect Damage and bleed. Taking your example of 2000 damage, this astral would knock off 20 points making your final tally 1980...not a very big difference. The usefulness of this astral lies more in pve and is much better with the orange version instead of the purple version. Lvl an orange version up to lvl 5 and you knock off 200 points per hit. Against small mobs this drastically decreases the amount of hp potions you buy
