Necro gives a nice amount of gems, EXP and chances at transposers and the maze gives daily crystalloids, legendary stones (both 70 and 70), gold and resistance crystals. All things which are very useful to most players. To get those coveted fashion cores from fishing you need to spend close to a year getting high enough skill level.

All in all, free necro + maze is clearly a lot more useful to a majority of players and fishing only benefit a miniscule fraction of the player base in comparison.

Too big a waste of time to try to fish for core shards.

I liked fishing mostly cause it could be done while blitzing. After the patch I am not sure if and how often I will do it.
