Gems beyond level 12

Does anybody have any idea if they will come out with gems higher than level 12? For the people that are maxed out on gems, do you still save them? Once I get a level 12 scroll from necro, I will be able to max out level 12 gems. I just don't want to get rid of gems if there is something down the road that will require more gems.

Gem fusion, lv10 + 10, lv11 + 11 or 12 + 12. So 40 gems x 2 (8 main gear + artifact/halidom x4 sockets). In total you'll need 80 lv12s to "max" out, later on anyways.

Hard to say with how slow things happen with our patches, rough estimate would be ~6months
