About catching Astrals.

Is there any specific pattern, tips and some help to catching higher leveled astrals or is it random? And what does Energine do?

What Senjuu said. If you sell the green ones then you can make back some of the gold you spent and you can keep going for more of the astrals that you would rather have. I've been doing that since I unlocked astrals and it's worked out wonderfully for me.

When astrals are first unlocked I sell Misfortunes and Greens and level up the ones I have to 3 or 4 just so I can have a boost. After that I sell everything, including Purples (unless they're useful as Purples).
Way I see it is worst case scenario, I just utilised the most potential out of my gold and each chance to get an Orange. Plus racked up a lot of points and can exchange for whatever Oranges I want eventually.

i get oranges most of the time when i have 250k gold.. got 2 yesterday including a red one.. and one today.. i sell all greens blues and misfortunes though.. its all about timing and luck..

if u are looking for orange sell everything and keep trying. if u are looking for exp sell only grey and green.
