They're very luck-based, I probably find 1 every 7-10 floors, on average, pretty much evenly distributed between all types of dimensions. So if you want to up your odd of sacrifice items, open a basic, search all 5 floors, but don't attack the towers on the 5th floor. Delete the dimension, and repeat as long as you have energy. You can do quite a few every day that way, although most people will spend most of their energy to complete advanced and expert dims. But if you're out of those, and have a free slot, this is a good strategy.
