    Having 2 players with similar reduce res and element res can take to this:

    ....and the fight still went up to 950% buff, which means 20 mins lost in 1 fight lol

    This is a massive problem I believe which we have started to see in a lot of areas with the introduction of stupidly high res. By making res SO important in fights, actually all they have done is enable these 20 minute fights, and being stuck in MPD's for 5 hours for some people.

    I have said all along - your character stats should MATTER. If they did, none of this would happen.

        I have 1500wind 818 res reduction
        Opponent 1470 wind
        I missed half my arena attempts because of this.

                  maybe a timeout like in cw, would be the easier way to fix this
                  i like the suicide button idea, would be very useful in AB too

                    A surrender/suicide button would be a great idea in general, like when you get stuck in a fight with a bright angel, or maybe tok, or even EF first boss(es). Arena and BG fights should probably just have a set time limit, with a tiebreaker like CW, because I don't think anyone really wants 10-minute+ fights, and turning it into a game of chicken to see who surrenders first would be lame.
