40 Legendary set(BUYERS BEWARE!)

i felt after spending hundreds on this set to get it. that i should warn people NOT to buy the boxes for it.


it remind me that scene from Vegas Vacation when the dealer in the casino said "how about this? give me half your money and I'll kick your *** in the back alley and let's call it even."


paid for hundreds of dollar in getting the boxes, another 4k of insignias from arena, and 3 days of farming NM 40 dungeons when I'm level 56(no exp).

when finally i get the full set. i was expecting something spectacular, something that's worth the GOLD, Insigs, REAL cash i put into it in getting it.

turn out it's so not worth it. it's not even as good as the 45 set.


i got all to +21 and refined the **** out of it , the amount of effort put into getting this set was SO SO SO NOT worth it. i almost wanna scream refund!


oh well, it was one of those things that i kind of knew it's going to go bad, but since i already bought it, might as well keep on going until finally might as well get it, since i already stuck half of your body through the door already.

it's like one of those things that you see it's yellow light and you are half way there, you know you could step on the brakes really hard, or you might as well keep on going and pass it before it turns red. lol

Anyway, i just want to warn people BUYERS beware. and also want beat the **** out of myself for doing it.





oh yeah, ONE THING TO POINT OUT.
the STATS ON IT DOES NOT CHANGE GOING FROM 40 TO 40 LEGENDARY

the ONLY benefit of going to legendary is that you gain an extra slot and + 21.
bow is 300+735 at(+21)

45 bow is 360+615 at (+15)

45 set have 30 rage, and -1500 pdef. starting up 45 set can beat 40 legendary set easy in pvp. because you start with 30 rage and the -1500 do help to hit harder.

40 legendary set hit not as hard, helps regain rage faster OVER TIME, so only good for MPD and WB. (which i was already using 40 for anyway.)


FINAL CONCLUSION

Keep your money and don't buy the box ****, keep your insigs for 55 set that's coming out, and keep your gold for leveling that 55 up, . . . 40 set is NOT worth it, the way it looks, 55 set will be better than 50 set too.

only thing worth while to aim for is 60 PVE set, IF they don't come out with a 65pvp by then...

hope my experience have given the people who are aiming for 40 legendary set a idea of NOT worth to buy it or wanting it.

The 40 set is a situational set at best. I feel bad that you spent IRL money for it, but i would beg to differ on your opinion of it. For a healing mage, the set is by FAR better than anything available. The 10 rage per turn makes all the difference in the world in catacombs. So yes, the set is worth it, but situationally.

Yea I would have to agree that the 40 epic set, as a whole, isn't worth the effort. What R2 or whoever should've done was made the stats for the gear overall better than their pvp counterpart. So much easier to get the pvp set than the pve epic gear. I may collect to say that I have it but don't think I'll work hard to get it. Was really disappointed when I saw it had the same stats as the original 40 set.

Naw if you have a support skill tree with full level 2 Blessed Light, don't think this is necessary. I'm clearing Cata level 100 using set 45 on a daily basis.

the 10 rage is nice, but my point is you get the 10 rage from 40 set already...

my COST here is going from 40 to 40 legendary set. hence...the WARNING NOT TO BUY IT...

on the other hand..i seem to be DOING GREAT Today at wb lol

why did you even bother going for the lv40 pve set when you could of went for the lv50 set, sure more work but it is likely to be better than lv40 set and you went backwards aiming for a weaker suit so its a bit crazy that you expected it to out perform the 45 set

(yeah i realize less work but cant be worth much then in the first place.)

terrible that a 21 enchant is so lame in attack compared to a +15 enchant set

spending money was your choice no one elses so only you to 'blame' for that, not that you need or have to be blamed for a choice you made

here is the reason why.
1. i had a 40 set already all 4 pieces(not 1 piece of 50 yet, not enough crystaloids for 1 piece yet)
2. i couldn't have went for 50 at all, by the time i would gotten 50 i'm sure i would be 70 by then.
3. 40 per say isn't weaker than 45 set, 40 set performs better at BG, WB and MPD, only worse in arena.
4. so the reason i upgraded the 40 i had was thinking that it would even be better than 45s. like the STATS gain would be SPECTACULAR. which it wasn't.
5. it does have better stats than 45s, but only marginally. i spend WAY too much for it that it's not worth it at all for a marginal 1% stat increase...

not worth it currently running 3x Tarronton's lair in 30 min trying to catch up in exp.
btw, i 'll never go for 50 set, like my post explained. 55 set would be better than 50 set stat wise AND performs better in ARENA.

like my post suggested 40 is only better than 45 marginally even when turned legendary. and the steps to get 40 is about 10x as hard to get it. to get it to legendary it would be another 10x as hard. if no money spend.

i would aim for 55 and then forget the rest.

i would ONLY aim for 60 cause that's where it becomes +30 and might be starting to worth it.

Dungeon set is only good for builds that try to make the battle longer such as tank knight and poison archer. For DPS builds the arena set is much better. So don't compare 2 sets without specifying your build.

Things to look out for in Orange 40 set:

1. Refinement is better. 10 star rating on 40 legendary is worse than 10 star rating on 40 orange. example: On purple, a 10 star POWER stat provides +20, while on an orange it gives +25.
2. Further enchantment. 40 purple allows +15 enchants, while 40 Orange allows +21 enchants.
3. Fourth socket. 1 more gem to be gemmed.

As always, it's not noticable at low levels. But at higher levels, a 1 star rating difference is huge; The base atk/def of an equip is already high, further enchant only brings out the gap further.... And 1 more gem at level 5 is 176 PAtk / PDef (dont forget Daru Engrave). Multiply all that by 4.... Wow.

problem is I only got 2 gem that is lv. 5. the rest is all lv. 4 still..

the main stat ptk was already slotted, so adding another slot was just increasing some secondary stat. so far all I'm saying is that it's not worth the cash and effort put into it for a 40 right now.


60 might be worth it. and currently can't use the rage set in pvp yet, so far the pvp set -def and +30 at start is just way better.
